We integrated the "Top Picks" belt on the app homepage to feature sports content at first sight.
We shoehorned a featured sport hero for the app homepage with streamlined visual elements.
We created the sports hub experience on the app featuring livestreams, replays, highlights and more.

FEATURES
We redesigned the progress bar treatment and ideated on a clear, simple experience for users to continue watching content. The progress bar is always present for livestreams as it indicates where the video is in real time. The blue CTA "WATCH NOW" changes to "CONTINUE WATCHING" and the VOD tiles do not have a progress bar if unwatched. Below tiles show the difference between live and VOD (video on demand) interactions.

A simple, streamlined user experience
We created a visual language for the color badges: Live, Upcoming, Replays, Highlights, Extras. We thealigned this visual language with interactive features across the app, such as the progress bar and timestamp components.
We designed a strategized hierarchy of key metadata with researched typography decisions and placements.
Overlay, Chromecast & Search
FEATURES
We designed the overlay experience to notify users that Sport has landed on TVNZ from the moment they open the app or upgrade.
We designed the mobile sender and TV Screen receiver flow for the Chromecast experience and video player integration.
We designed the search experience organizing the results by strategic categories, aligning the metadata logic and play icon for scannability.
RESPONSIVE DESIGN
As an agile team, we collaborated on the designs across all endpoints: mobile, tablet, web and CTV. I led the mobile and tablet designs, while many design jams as a team contributed to the creation of our concepts together in development. I am confident with my web expertise, I'd be able to lead the designs for CTV as well. I thoroughly enjoy working in an agile way as a team, sharing masterful insights and perspectives.
